Communication with Parents/Learners:
Class
- School WhatsApp Groups: Stay updated and connected with our school WhatsApp groups, where important announcements and reminders are shared with parents and learners.
- D6+ Communicator App: Access all school-related information conveniently through our D6+ Communicator App, ensuring that everyone is informed about events, schedules and other important updates.
- E-mailing System: All parent/educator communication takes place via e-mail allowing for effective communication.
- Information Evenings: Join us for informative evenings where we discuss school policies, curriculum updates and other relevant topics to keep parents and learners well informed.
- Parent’s Evenings: We value open communication and encourage parents to attend parents’ evenings, providing an opportunity for one-on-one discussions with educators about their child’s progress.
- One-on-One Communication: Our staff is readily available for one-on-one communication with parents and learners to address any concerns, provide support and foster a collaborative partnership.
- Facebook Communication: Engage with us on Facebook, where we share news, events and highlights from our school community.
Canteen
Delicious Meals: Enjoy nutritious and delicious meals prepared by our trained kitchen staff, ensuring that learners have the fuel they need to thrive throughout the day.
Learners Recognition:
- Birthdays: Celebrate learners’ special days with birthday acknowledgments, learners are allowed to wear civies, creating a sense of recognition within the school community.
- Special Assemblies: Recognise learners’ achievements and contributions during special assemblies, where their efforts are celebrated and applauded by peers and educators alike.
- Prize Giving: Honour outstanding achievements and accomplishments through our prize-giving ceremonies, inspiring learners to strive for excellence.
- Scrolls and Badges: Reward learners’ hard work and dedication with scrolls and badges, acknowledging their achievements and encouraging continued success.
- Prefects: Grade 12 learners are elected annually following a leadership camp.
- RCL Members: Are selected annually per grade to ensure effective communication between learners and educators.
Bathrooms:
- Cleanliness a Priority: We prioritise cleanliness in our bathrooms, ensuring that they are well-maintained and hygienic for the comfort and well-being of our learners.
- Male and Female Separate: Our bathrooms are designated for male and female use, providing privacy and comfort for all learners.
Matric Farewell
An exciting event that signifies the end of our learner’s scholastic journey.
Bullying
- Bullying and Disruptive Behaviour: This behaviour is not tolerated. Learners are suspended pending a Disciplinary Hearing that may result in expulsion.
- Counseling Option: Support is available for learners through counseling sessions, providing a safe space to discuss their experiences and access resources for coping and intervention.
